What it does

Returns dictionary entries for a word: parts of speech, definitions, phonetic spellings and audio pronunciation URLs, synonyms, antonyms, and example sentences.

Primary use cases

Defining a word and showing its part of speech and examples.
Getting pronunciation or synonyms for a term.

Good to know

Set language to the dictionary language code (e.g. "en", "en_US", "fr", "es") and word to the term. Definitions come from Wiktionary (CC BY-SA 3.0): credit Wiktionary and the sourceUrls when you surface content. Unknown words return a not-found response.
